July 2010, Dzembronya village, Carpathian mountains, Ukraine. Nothing. I love photographs where “nothing” is main character. I didn’t shoot a piece of hill with spruces. Believe me, there is very boring to make top of a mountain image meaning “top of a mountain”. I wanted to shoot color and I wanted to shoot “nothing”. And now I don’t have photograph with spruces. I have dreamy endlessness which gives rise dozens of associations. All of them depend on spectator’s mood and thoughts. There is very simple rule in photography. Less is more. More accurate this is not even a rule. This is guideline. Very good guideline, that I love to follow.
