Morning in Taskiney Fold

What do you know that such seemingly limited subject as ice may keep my interest so long. My most strong fear was connected with lack of variety on Baikal Lake. Well cracks, pieces of ice, hummocks… But will it be so interesting for 3-week trip? But it’s astonishing, every time, especially in the morning, fighting with sleep and coldness, you step on the ice and… find yourself in another reality with huge variety of lines, shapes and geometry. And this is one of my favorite photography subjects. I love to find harmony islands in the chaos around. Icy Baikal world is built on very special rules. It’s very graphical and ideal. And you play with all things around like with child’s meccano finding enormous mass of subjects. This is Baikal’s magic and that wath the reason I wasn’t bored all that time.

Baikal

Hello! I was absent in my blog so long time. But I am back and I am ready to show you my very best images and share with you my thoughts about landscape photography. About one week ago I’ve returned from 20 days long Baikal Lake (Russia) trip. I’ve made workshops in this place and I am full of impressions. Any image can’t reflect all depth and unreality of Baikal ice with great number of patterns, cracks and geometry on it. All these things impressed me to find new images even in last days when tiredness had its effect on me. This image are shot in Taskiney fold. One of the most memrable mornings of all trip.
